Recipe: Turmeric Gold Honey Granola
TOTAL TIME: 24 mins
PREP: 8 mins
YIELD: 6 cups
4 cups rolled oats
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup cashews chopped
¼ cup pumpkin seeds
Handful dried cranberries
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons dried coconut
1⁄3 cup oil (coconut oil works really well)
2⁄3 cup Turmeric Gold Honey
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1. Heat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Combine oats, nuts, salt, cinnamon and coconut in a large bowl and set aside.
3. Combine oil, honey and vanilla in another, smaller bowl.
4. Mix wet ingredients into dry – you may need to use your hands.
5. Then spread the mixture onto two cookie sheets lined with foil or parchment.
6. Bake 10 minutes. Then remove from oven and stir.
7. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until slightly golden.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
9. When cooled, transfer into an airtight container for storage.

As we’re about to head into March we think back to this time last year, when Fran joined our team! Fran saw our new market a few times on Fraser Highway and thought to herself, “this looks like a great place to work.” She later saw an ad online we were hiring and applied.
When we met her, we immediately fell in love! Her beautiful smile, bubbly, warm and fun attitude is so infectious. Fran also brings over 20 years of experience from the retail world for which we are grateful for. Fran has been eager to learn and was quickly promoted as our Front End Manager.
When we asked her what she likes best about working here she said, “Everything! There isn’t anything I don’t like. I’m always learning and I really value the work life balance.”
Fran is a local resident, happily married to her husband Will and is a mother to Samantha. She also has a little pooch, sweet BamBam! Fran’s top 3 favourite items at our market would be “Bucha” Kombucha, she requested us to start carrying it. She also loves our deli meats and freshly baked buns!
